European Commission will launch a stakeholder forum by end of year as part of its future strategy for small modular reactors

At the second General Assembly of the European Industrial Alliance for Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) on Monday 1 September, the European Commissioner for Energy, Dan Jørgensen, announced that a call for evidence for SMRs would be launched, supplemented by a stakeholder forum “later in the year”.

He indicated that the aim was to “broaden the dialogue” beyond the 350-plus current members of the Alliance (https://aeur.eu/f/i86).
