Public consultation on deployment of AI in energy sector

26/08/2025 (Agence Europe) – At the beginning of August, the European Commission launched a public consultation with a view to drawing up a strategic roadmap for integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into the energy sector in order to improve reliability and contribute to the efficient use of energy. Announced in the European Affordable Energy Action Plan (see EUROPE 13588/3), this consultation asks stakeholders about the steps to be taken and the pitfalls to be avoided in deploying AI solutions on a large scale in this sector of activity.
