Greens/EFA, S&D and Renew Europe launch European Parliament working group on sustainable textiles

Saskia Bricmont (Greens/EFA, Belgian), Lara Wolters (S&D, Dutch) and Barry Andrews (Renew Europe, Irish) announced the creation of a working group on sustainable textiles in the European Parliament on Friday 20 June. This transparent initiative will aim to promote textile supply chains that are more sustainable and fairer. MEPs hope to achieve “concrete results by tackling a wide range of challenges facing the sector”, such as combating the negative effects of ‘fast fashion’...
