EU imposes definitive anti-dumping duty on Chinese vanillin

13/06/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 12 June, the European Commission announced that it was imposing an anti-dumping duty of 131.1% on imports of Chinese vanillin. Vanillin is an organic compound found in vanilla beans as well as other plant and animal sources. The Commission opened an investigation in May 2024 (see EUROPE B13416A22), but did not impose any provisional measures. All Chinese exporters to the EU are subject to the same duty.
