EU and Japan hold their first dialogue on security and defence at Director-General level

The European Union and Japan have agreed to strengthen their cooperation on security and defence issues as part of a dialogue on the subject, which took place on Wednesday 11 June in Brussels.

The dialogue was co-chaired by Shuji Yuge, Director General for International Affairs at the Japanese Ministry of Defence, Seiichiro Taguchi, Deputy Director General and Ambassador at the European Affairs Bureau of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Benedikta von Seherr-Thoss, Director...
