06/06/2025 (Agence Europe) – The national business promotion institutions of France (Caisse des Dépôts), Germany (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW)), Italy (Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP)), Poland (Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK)) and Spain (Instituto de Crédito Oficial (ICO)) and the EIB agreed on Friday 6 June to explore further possibilities for cooperation in support of the European security and defence industry. According to an EIB press release, cooperation will focus on areas of investment and potential joint financing in sectors such as research and development, industrial capacity and infrastructure. This initiative could also explore the development of potential joint collaborations, particularly on financial products and advisory services. It is open to other long-term European public investors. (CG)
