16/05/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday, 15 May, the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) presented a REMIT data “reference centre” to host information on EU wholesale energy market data as well as a single inside information access point. The agency was tasked with doing this as part of the 2024 revision of REMIT, a regulation that aims to prevent abuse on the wholesale energy market. The data reference centre includes nine datasets that provide an overview of transactions carried out between January and March 2025. The next update (covering data from April to June 2025) is expected in mid-September. As for the inside information access point, it serves as a single gateway to “inside” information published on 23 approved platforms, notably on the subject of outages and service interruptions.
