Hungary and Slovakia can do without Russian fossil fuel imports, according to CSD and CREA

Europe can gradually do without Russian gas without risking supply security, according to a study published on Thursday 15 May by the research centres Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD) and Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA).

Focusing on the close links that Hungary and Slovakia have with Russia, the authors of the study point out that imports of Russian crude oil by these two countries since the start of the invasion of Ukraine have earned the Kremlin €5.4 billion...
