French judge Mattias Guyomar elected President of European Court of Human Rights

28/04/2025 (Agence Europe) – Frenchman Mattias Guyomar was elected President of the European Court of Human Rights on Monday 28 April. He succeeds Slovenia’s Marko Bošnjak, who is coming to the end of his nine-year term as judge and who has chaired the institution since July 2024. Mattias Guyomar was elected a judge of the European Court of Human Rights for France in June 2020, and became Section President in May 2024.
