Entries for 2025 ‘Excellence in Road Safety Awards’ now open

02/04/2025 (Agence Europe) – The European Road Safety Charter, run by the European Commission, launched call for entries for its 2025 ‘Excellence in Road Safety Awards’ on Wednesday 2 April. These awards recognise the achievements of Charter members, including organisations, authorities and businesses, who have made a significant contribution to promoting safer roads across Europe (see EUROPE 13526/32). There are five categories: - driving under the influence or distracted driving; - road safety education; - road safety for the elderly; - technology; - road safety in urban areas. Applications are open until midnight CEST on Friday 16 May 2025. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 16 October in Brussels.
