European Council in favour of very rapid adoption of ‘omnibus’ package

On Thursday 20 March, the EU Heads of State or Government will discuss the ‘omnibus’ simplification package proposed by the European Commission on 26 February (see EUROPE B13588A4), and are expected to call for its rapid adoption. According to draft conclusions dated 16 March, the leaders could call for the ‘omnibuses’ to be completed as far as possible by 2025.
