EU prepares to retaliate against US steel and aluminium tariffs

11/03/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 12 March, the European Union expects the 25% tariff on steel and aluminium announced by US President Donald Trump in January to come into force. At the same time, Canada could see the rate raised to 50%, according to Donald Trump’s announcements on Tuesday 11 March.
