Return of illegal third country nationals - Commission tightens rules and opens door to ‘return hubs’

As expected, on Tuesday 11 March the European Commission, represented by Vice-President Henna Virkkunen and the Commissioner for Migration and Home Affairs, Magnus Brunner, presented a new draft Regulation establishing a common system for the return of illegal immigrants in the EU, revising the current 2008 Directive.
