Brussels, 10/03/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Saturday 8 March, the European Parliament’s Committee on Public Health (SANT) launched a public consultation on women’s health to mark International Women’s Day. Open for one month, this anonymous survey is aimed at the general public and players in the sector (NGOs, industry, health professionals). The results will contribute to parliamentary work on gender inequalities in health. According to Eurostat, women in the EU live longer than men (83.3 years compared with 77.8 years in 2021), but spend more years in poor health. A report by the European Parliamentary Research Service demonstrates the consequences of delays in diagnosis, medical bias and inequalities in access to care (https://aeur.eu/f/fuf ). Parliament has already addressed these issues through resolutions on mental health and research (2017) and sexual and reproductive health (2021). See the consultation: https://aeur.eu/f/fug (NP)
