21/02/2025 (Agence Europe) – As provided for in the regulation on cyber resilience, the European Commission launched a call for tenders on Monday, 17 February, in order to develop a platform for reporting online incidents and connected objects’ vulnerabilities. According to the regulation, the platform must be operational by 1 July 2026. The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) officially came into force on Tuesday, 10 December 2024. The CRA is designed to eliminate “vulnerabilities” in products that have digital functionalities (such as connected home cameras, refrigerators, televisions, and toys) by introducing mandatory cyber security requirements with regard to their design, development, production, and availability. The single reporting platform should make it easier to report malfunctions at the European level. See the call for tenders: https://aeur.eu/f/flt (IS)
