European Parliament approves conclusion of EU-Cabo Verde fisheries agreement

11/02/25 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 11 February, the European Parliament approved (507 votes in favour, 76 against and 16 abstentions) the conclusion of the new five-year fisheries agreement between the EU and Cabo Verde, by adopting the report on this text by Paulo do Nascimento Cabral (EPP, Portuguese). The agreement allows 56 European Union vessels (24 freezer tuna seiners, 10 pole-and-line tuna vessels and 22 surface longliners from Spain, France and Portugal) to fish 7,000 tonnes...
