11/02/25 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 11 February, the European Commission launched the 2025 edition of the ‘REGIOSTARS’ competition, which will award the best projects supported by cohesion policy in the EU. Between 11 February and 20 May 2025, beneficiaries of cohesion projects all over the EU can apply in one of five thematic categories: ‘A Competitive and Smart Europe’, ‘A Green Europe’, ‘A Connected Europe’, ‘A Social and Inclusive Europe’ and ‘A Europe Closer to the Citizens’. The public will also be able to choose their favourite project by taking part in the ‘REGIOSTARS Public Vote’. For Raffaele Fitto, Executive Vice-President responsible for Cohesion and Reforms, this competition will allow the best projects to show their excellence in transforming Europe’s regions and improving the lives of its citizens.
