European Commission could consider extending objectives for filling gas stocks beyond December 2025

24/01/2025 (Agence Europe) – According to a Reuters report shared on Thursday 23 January, the EU could extend the targets for filling its gas stocks beyond December 2025. At present, the EU has set a general target of 90% of reservoirs filled by 1 November, with intermediate targets for achieving this target to ensure security of supply over the winter (see EUROPE B13535A5).
