In 2023, 10.6% of EU population were unable to keep themselves adequately warm

24/01/2025 (Agence Europe)In a new publication published on Thursday 23 January, Eurostat indicated that 10.6% of the EU population were unable to heat their homes adequately in 2023. This represents an increase of 1.3 percentage points (pp) compared to 2022. The countries with the highest proportions of people unable to keep their homes warm enough were Spain and Portugal (both 20.8%), Bulgaria (20.7%), Lithuania (20%) and Greece (19.2%).
