24/01/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 23 January, the European Commission, the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) and the Renewables Grid Initiative (RGI) launched a four-week survey to improve the regulatory frameworks for stakeholder engagement in EU electricity infrastructure projects, in the context of the EU Pact for Engagement to raise awareness and engage with the public on the role of grids in accelerating the transition to clean energy. The survey (https://aeur.eu/f/f75 ) aims to gather the views of network operators (TSOs and DSOs) and national regulatory authorities (NRAs) to inform on current practices, challenges and opportunities related to regulatory and legal frameworks of stakeholder engagement in European electricity infrastructure development. Intermediate information from the questionnaire is expected to be presented at the 11th Energy Infrastructure Forum in June 2025. (PLD)
