European Commission sets intermediary targets for filling gas storage facilities before 1 November 2025 deadline

On Friday 29 November, the European Commission adopted the intermediary targets for filling gas storage facilities by 2025, with the aim of reaching 90% of their capacity by 1 November 2025.

This target is set by the EU Gas Storage Regulation to ensure security of supply for the 2025-2026 winter.

Intermediary deadlines have been set for 1 February, 1 May, 1 July and 1 September 2025. They must be complied with by Member States with underground storage facilities on their territory...
