29/11/24 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 29 November, the European Commission published the 2025 call for projects for the European Solidarity Corps, with a budget of €166 million. This programme supports voluntary activities for young people aged 18 to 30, focusing on “inclusion, green and digital transition, health and democratic participation”. The report published the same day highlights the “impact of these initiatives”, which have mobilised more than 66,000 young people to respond to societal and humanitarian challenges, particularly in relation to the war in Ukraine. Eligible organisations must obtain a quality label and can apply for funding via national agencies or the European Executive Agency. With an overall budget of €1.009 billion for 2021-2027, the European Solidarity Corps aims to involve more than 185,000 young people in solidarity actions in Europe and beyond. (IS)
