Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala confirmed for second term as Director-General of WTO

29/11/24 (Agence Europe) – The members of the World Trade Organization (WTO) have reappointed Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as Director-General for a second four-year term, starting on 1 September 2025. This decision, taken by consensus by the WTO General Council on Friday 29 November, “reflects the members’ confidence in her leadership and vision for the WTO”, said the Chair of the WTO General Council, Petter Ølberg.
