Through its LIFE programme, the European Commission funds projects aimed at improving the environment and climate. On the eve of its 33rd year, the institution shared some of the notable events in its 2025 calendar.
The next round of LIFE calls for proposals will be launched in April 2025. The Commission has announced that the CINEA (European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency) will be responsible for guiding applicants through the process.
In addition, the latest and most successful LIFE projects will be honoured at the 19th LIFE Awards, in the ‘Nature, Circular Economy and Quality of Life’, ‘Climate Action’ and ‘LIFE Citizens’ Award’ categories.
The programme will also be present at the EU Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy, as “many LIFE projects” work in partnership with cities, and at the European Sustainable Energy Week, which will be held from 10 to 12 June. (Original version in French by Florent Servia)
