13/01/25 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 9 January, the European Banking Authority (EBA) published its final guidelines on the management of environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks. These guidelines set out the requirements for institutions to identify, measure, manage and monitor ESG risks, in particular through plans to ensure their resilience in the short, medium and long term. They should help to guarantee the safety and soundness of institutions as ESG risks intensify. The guidelines specify the content of the plans that institutions must draw up to monitor and deal with financial risks.
