Interim trade agreement with Santiago to come into force on 1 February

13/01/2025 (Agence Europe) – The interim trade agreement between the EU and Chile will come into force on 1 February. Santiago notified the EU of its ratification in late November 2024 and the EU, for its part, finalised the procedure in March last year. The trade part had been separated from the rest of the association agreement with the aim of having it ratified at EU level only, so that it could enter into force quickly. (LM)
