On Tuesday 17 December, after two weeks of uncertain negotiations, the EU Council adopted its position on the regulation on the prevention of plastic pellet losses to the environment (see EUROPE B13539A12). This ‘general approach’ will serve as a basis for the EU Council in its negotiations with the European Parliament in 2025.
