13/12/2024 (Agence Europe) – The EU’s future hydrogen transmission system operators have entered a new phase in the creation of the European Network of Network Operators of Hydrogen (ENNOH) (see EUROPE 13474/4), as they have agreed to establish a temporary, voluntary cooperation and elect a management structure to lead the activities in 2025. This initiative, known as pre-ENNOH, aims to develop the preparatory work needed for the future European network, which is expected to be established in the last quarter of 2025. Christoph von dem Bussche (GASCADE) has been appointed Chair of this pre-ENNOH. In 2025, the new network will be required to publish an integrated model (October 2025) and a draft single-sector methodology for hydrogen (December 2025), among other things. The future managers will also work on the foundation and legal establishment of ENNOH and on setting up the secretariat. (PLD)
