Google tests impact of removing news from search results of 1% of users in eight EU Member States

25/11/24 (Agence Europe) – Google is to stop displaying results from EU news publishers to 1% of users in Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain in Google News, Search and Discover for a few weeks as part of a test to enable it to “assess the impact of results from EU news publishers on the search experience of [its] users and on traffic to publishers”, the company announced on Wednesday 13 November, claiming that its Extended News Previews (ENP)...
