08/10/24 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 8 October, the Council of the European Union renewed for one year, until 31 October 2025, the EU’s autonomous restrictive measures against Da’esh and Al-Qaeda and associated individuals, groups, undertakings and entities. Fifteen individuals and six groups are currently subject to these sanctions. Their assets are frozen and individuals are also banned from travelling to the EU. In addition, EU persons and entities are prohibited from making funds, financial assets or economic resources available to listed persons and groups. These restrictive measures are complementary to those imposed by the UN Security Council against Da’esh and Al-Qaeda. (CG)
