Member States’ representatives to EU appoint nine judges and one Advocate-General

02/10/2024 (Agence Europe)On Wednesday 2 October, the EU Member States appointed nine judges and an Advocate-General to the Court of Justice of the European Union. Two judges have been appointed to the Court of Justice: Niels Fenger (7 October 2024 - 6 October 2027) and Andreas Kumin (7 October 2024 - 6 October 2030). Seven judges have been appointed to the General Court: Juraj Schwarcz (from the date of entry into force of this decision until 31 August 2028), Hervé Cassagnabère (7 October 2024 - 31 August 2025), Raphaël Meyer (7 October 2024 - 31 August 2028), Suzanne Kingston (1 September 2025 - 31 August 2031), Colm MacEochaidh (1 September 2025 - 31 August 2031), José Martín y Pérez de Nanclares (1 September 2025 - 31 August 2031) and Miguel Sampol Pucurull (1 September 2025 - 31 August 2031). Andrea Biondi has been appointed Advocate-General to the Court of Justice from 7 October 2024 to 6 October 2030. (LC)
