DiscoverEU - 35,000 tickets to be offered to 18-year-olds for travel in Europe

02/10/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 2 October, the European Commission announced the opening of applications for 35,500 free travel passes under the DiscoverEU initiative. Aimed at 18-year-olds born in 2006, this initiative offers free travel across Europe for up to 30 days between March 2025 and May 2026. Applicants from the EU and countries associated with the Erasmus+ programme will be selected on the basis of a questionnaire. In addition to the ticket, participants will receive a discount card covering more than 40,000 offers, as well as learning programmes. Special support is available for young people with disabilities. Since its launch in 2018, DiscoverEU has offered 319,000 tickets, encouraging the discovery of Europe and sustainable mobility. To apply: https://aeur.eu/f/doa (NP)
