In run-up to COP29, NGO coalition Climate Action Network Europe urges EU to adopt an ambitious, just and equitable approach

On Wednesday 2 October, the NGO networkClimate Action Network Europe (CAN Europe) sent an open letter to the EU environment and climate ministers, calling for bold leadership at the EU ‘Environment’ Council meeting on 14 October, which will finalise preparations for COP29, scheduled to take place in Baku, Azerbaijan, in November.
