In Brussels, organised march against discrimination and lack of support for disabled individuals’ independence within EU

On Tuesday, 24 September, the European Network on Independent Living (ENIL) organised a march in Brussels to protest the lack of support services for and the persistent discrimination against people with disabilities in the European Union.

According to ENIL, the procession brought together more than 400 people; it left Parc du Cinquantenaire to make its way to the European Parliament and demand that personal assistance services be put in place so as to enable independent living—a right...
