With DeepSpacePULSE, ERC reaches milestone of 2000th beneficiary of its European ‘Proof of Concept’ funding programme

11/07/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 11 July, the European Research Council (ERC) announced the award of grants worth €150,000 each to 100 outstanding scientists in the first round of its 2024 ‘Proof of Concept Grant’ programme. Funded under the European research and innovation framework programme, Horizon Europe, this grants programme aims to support researchers who want to take the discoveries made in their exploratory research and apply them in practice. This series of grants includes the 2000th project to benefit from this type of funding: the DeepSpacePULSE project, which aims to facilitate deep space exploration by working on a small, light, autonomous space navigation unit.
