While a number of concordant sources mentioned Thursday 11 July as the date for the next meeting of the expert group on the ‘European Cybersecurity Certification Scheme’ (EUCS) (see EUROPE 13349/12), it remains unclear whether it will actually take place.
According to the European Commission, the timetable has still not been officially validated, and no date has yet been set for July.
At this stage, the institution has yet to present a version of the text detailing the implementation of the scheme at national level, particularly with regard to sovereignty and security requirements.
Nonetheless, it hopes to conclude the technical discussions before the summer break in order to move the project forward.
However, stakeholders are concerned about the lack of transparency in the agenda, which could further delay the finalisation of the text.
It has been on the table since 2022 and has suffered several setbacks in recent months as it approached its final version (see EUROPE 13434/9). (Original version in French by Isalia Stieffatre)
