09/07/24 (Agence Europe) – In its report on Swedish gas transmission tariffs, sent to the Swedish Energy Market Inspectorate, the National Regulatory Authority (NRA) and the Transmission System Operator (TSO) Swedegas, the European Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) assessed the compliance of the proposed methodology with the Network Code on Harmonised Transmission Tariff Structures for Gas (NC TAR). It concludes that the methodology applied for the reference prices differs from that of the public consultation. There are also concerns about the under-recovery of revenues and the cost efficiency of the TSO and the lack of information on the methodology applied to ensure compliance with Article 7 of the NC TAR and the conditions of access to the gas transmission networks. ACER recommends to the NRA a new consultation on the methodology applied to the Swedish transmission network, in line with the requirements of the NC TAR.
