On Monday 1 July, the European Commission approved Poland’s and Cyprus’s requests to revise their post-Covid-19 national recovery plans.
Presented at the end of April, the modification of the Polish recovery plan follows the complete revision of this plan, adopted by the Council of the EU in December 2023 (see EUROPE 13297/17). Once this amendment is approved, the Polish plan will amount to €59.8 billion (34.5 billion in the form of loans and 25.3 billion in the form of subsidies) and will include 55 reforms and 56 investments.

On Monday, the EU institution also approved the request for a targeted revision of the post-Covid-19 recovery plan that Cyprus had submitted to it at the end of June (see EUROPE 13440/35). The proposed amendments are limited in scope and technical in nature. The Cypriot plan, which amounts to €1.2 billion, including €200 million in loans, covers 61 reforms and 75 investments.
