European ministers want to clarify specific points in regulation on passenger rights

18/06/24 (Agence Europe)On Tuesday 18 June at the EU Council meeting in Luxembourg, EU transport ministers approved the progress report on the proposal for a regulation on passenger rights in the context of multimodal journeys (see EUROPE 13429/5). Work is still ongoing to clarify the scope of application and avoid regulating too much. Further discussion will be needed and specifically on reimbursement times, which vary considerably from one mode of transport to another. Work on the rights of disabled people and people with reduced mobility must also continue, particularly on the issue of compensation for mobility equipment, assistive devices and assistance dogs. Work will continue under the Hungarian Presidency, which begins on Monday 1 July. Read the report here: https://aeur.eu/f/cls (AD)
