18/06/2024 (Agence Europe) – Taking part in the plenary meeting of the European Network of Network Operators for Hydrogen (ENNOH) on Tuesday 18 June, the European Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson, welcomed the establishment of the Network, as set out in the revised regulation in the ‘gas’ package, adopted by the EU Council last May (see EUROPE 13413/13). “Hydrogen is critical for EU’s decarbonisation & competitiveness. ENNOH will be in charge of planning & developing the future European H2 infrastructure network”, enthused Ms Simson on X. As part of the founding process, hydrogen transmission system operators will have to submit their articles of association, list of members and internal rules and regulations to the European Commission and ACER by 1 September. The official launch will take place in the first half of 2025. The network should be fully operational by 2027. (PLD)
