European Commission approves €4 billion French scheme to support energy transition in manufacturing sector

On Friday 24 May, the European Commission announced that it had approved a €4 billion French scheme notified under the Temporary Framework for State aid during crisis and transition periods. The French measure will support investment in the electrification of industrial processes and investment to improve energy efficiency. 

The aid will reach beneficiaries in the form of direct grants covering up to 30% of the project’s investment costs.
