07/05/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 6 May, the European Research Executive Agency (REA) announced the opening of its first call for cascade funding (financial support for third parties), worth €1.1 million, to implement reforms in research assessment. The reform of research assessment is one of the European Commission’s objectives in the field of research (see EUROPE 13060/14). The call for funding is part of the Boost project, funded by the European Union, which is strengthening the operational capacity of the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA). In particular, the call aims to support projects that promote the circulation of best practices, the transformation of existing practices and research assessment tools. It will also support the testing of innovative research assessment models and procedures. The call is open until 26 June. Further information: https://aeur.eu/f/c4n (EV)
