02/04/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 2 April, the European External Action Service (EEAS) “strongly” condemned the launch of a ballistic missile by North Korea. “The EU reiterates its call on the DPRK to cease all illegal actions that threaten regional and international peace and security”, commented EEAS spokeswoman Nabila Massrali. The EEAS, which states that the EU is “ready to work with all partners” to achieve the denuclearisation of the country, calls on North Korea “to accept the offers of dialogue by relevant parties and to comply with its obligations under UN Security Council resolutions to abandon its nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles in a complete, verifiable, and irreversible manner”.
