European Parliament gives green light to EU-Japan agreement on circulation of data

Brussels, 14/03/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 14 March, MEPs approved by 453 votes to 34, with 60 abstentions, the text of recommendations approving the conclusion of the protocol with Japan on cross-border data flows. The European Parliament’s green light will allow the protocol to be incorporated into the existing Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) between the two parties.
