06/03/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 6 March, the European Commission announced that it had authorised the extension and modification of a Romanian State aid scheme, initially approved in September 2022, for high-efficiency cogeneration of electricity and heat. This is the name given to the simultaneous production of heat and electricity. The amendments to this scheme include a budget increase of €362 million, bringing the total budget for the measure to €752 million.
