European Commission protects ‘Sel de Camargue’ name

31/01/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 31 January, the European Commission announced the inclusion of ‘Sel de Camargue’ and ‘Fleur de sel de Camargue’, produced in France, in the register of protected geographical indications (PGIs). These are sea salts produced by the natural evaporation of seawater and crystallising only under the action of sun and wind.
