European Commission grants €594 million to eight cross-border energy infrastructure projects

On Thursday 25 January, the European Commission allocated €594 million under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) to eight cross-border energy infrastructure projects that were granted the status of Projects of Common Interest (PCIs) in 2022.

Several projects involve setting up a European carbon value chain.

A total of €189 million has been allocated to the D’Artagnan project alone, a CO2 export platform in the port of Dunkirk, France.
