European Parliament promotes fight for gender equality and against poverty ahead of 68th session of United Nations Commission on the Status of Women

On Wednesday 24 January, the members of the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM) voted on draft resolution on the EU’s priorities for the 68th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, scheduled for 11 to 22 March. 

The text, submitted by Robert Biedroń (S&D, Polish), focuses on “addressing poverty, strengthening institutions and financing with a gender perspective”.
