On Wednesday 24 January, MEPs from the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM) and the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) jointly examined the amendments relating to the revision of the directive on victims' rights.

This proposal, issued by the European Commission in July 2023 (see EUROPE B13221A17), aims to remedy the shortcomings of the 2012 directive and update it, in particular by incorporating digital advances and adopting a victim-centred...
