Coalition of 14 organisations urges European Commission to be ambitious in its forthcoming communication on EU 2040 climate target

On Thursday 25 January, in a letter sent to the three main EU institutions and the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU, a coalition of 14 European business and investor organisations, the Coalition for Higher Ambition, called for support for “a bold, science-aligned ambition level” in the European Commission’s forthcoming communication on the EU 2040 climate target, due in early February (see EUROPE B13328A2).
